Schumann's
Bar Talks
Film

„A film for barkeepers and bar people – of course it's that. But then again not – that' the beauty of it.“ The viewer visits some of the world's most famous and best bars with Charles Schumann: Dead Rabbit in New York, Hemingway Bar in Paris, El Floridita in Havana, or High Five in Tokyo. The men and women behind the bar – Charles Schumann knows them all and invites them to tell their stories, and in their own way, they all have a personal story with him. He observes their work, meets up with connoisseurs and writers. It's about the traditional and visionary, about ingredients, perfection and rituals. About the bar as a stage, the longing and contemplation of the world: „There's not really that much said in the film.“
